Out of curiosity, if any of y’all are starting yourselves a guild for the Tumblr folks (since accounts can be linked to multiple guilds and all!) do feel free to let me know because I’d love to join up.
Hello! I meant to reblog this here. Anyways, yes, you can join multiple guilds on your account. The only thing is you can choose to represent one guild at any given time. What does that mean? Anything guild related such as guild achievements and guild influence will be known and earned through the guild you are representing. These mechanics are for WvWvW mostly as they can be used on upgrades, including guild storage and maintaining keeps and outposts. You can switch what guild to represent, but I am not sure how your achievements and influence are effected.
It would be nice to have tumblr guild as the community here is great, but some of us like myself are in some sort of gaming guild or from one in Guild Wars. Some people like to be in one guild, but I am open for anything really.

I researched further (as I probably should have done to start with) and this is what the wiki says:
Guilds can contain up to 100 members across any number of home worlds. However, members can only participate in WvW together if they belong to the same world.
Each player account can belong to multiple guilds. However, each character may only represent one guild at a time; only that guild earns influence from the character’s actions. In addition, the character only has access to guild features of the represented guild, notably shared storage, buffs, and guild-wide chat.
To change the guild represented, open the guild panel, choose the “management” tab, select the appropriate guild, and choose “represent.”
So I take that to mean that you don’t even have to be from the same server to join a guild (it just restricts your WvW participation). That also seems to say that you can join multiple guilds and just switch your character’s representation any time you want to play and chat between guilds. So you never have to feel torn between friends and guilds if you have different groups of people you like to play with at different times.
That is a VERY COOL idea!
