serapheles asked: You mentioned completing a heart (a DE would also be enough as well) to have enough for a guild. While one way to do it, what I did with my guildleader is donate the copper I received from the tutorial quest, which was enough (when combined with what my guildleader earned from his) to get a guild. If you have others looking forward to the guild, you could ask for a donation (waypoints are the main thing to spend coin on at a low level, and they only cost 5 copper or so at first). Or your alts.
That’s very true and a good option!
But being as late as the game is launching, I’m not sure how many of my guildies will be on for the server launch like I will. It’s really not too bad to do on my own.
Last night, during the quickie stress test we had, it took me all of 15-20 mins to scrape up the cash to launch the guild between the introduction area and one heart (that’s rolling a charr). I wasn’t rushing it, either.
I can be patient. I remember farming the aloes in pre-searing for 2+ hours to get enough gold to buy a guild cape in GW1. :)
