I was an experienced campaigner even before the whole incident with most of my warband getting wiped out. But in the last several months, I’ve fought everything from Risen to Destroyers to crazy Norn to an undead-looking dragon. I’ve visited the cities of all five major races (yes, Znaff, even Rata Sum), and walked or ran across a good chunk of Tyria.

I’m not the Charr I once was. I’m a lot better. I’m more experienced, better equipped, and maybe even a bit more willing to work with other races. And I have more purpose—killing the Elder Dragons, yeah, but really, making sure Tyria’s a place where, just maybe, we can learn to live in peace with each other. Maybe not in my time, but maybe, if I settle down and have some cubs, they’d live to see it.

Oh, as I was traveling about, I ran across this artist that wanted to do a sketch of me. I figured I might as well, so I spent a bit of time posing. She showed me the finished product, and it looked acceptable. Then she wanted a whole gold coin for the sketch.

The nerve! My own face, and she wanted a whole gold coin for it!

Of course, I paid her.

I’ll admit, she did a decent job. I don’t really think she captured my horns well, but I don’t think any picture can really capture the full majesty of my horns. I mean, yeah, sometimes the weight makes my neck ache and I want to file them down a foot or so, but really I like them the way they are.
